COURSE: Financial Information and Corporate Valuation

Objectives: This class is intent to provide an overall knowledge of making decision employing financial statement information. Special interests will be placed on subjects such as utilizing financial statement in conducting industry analysis, understanding earnings management techniques, and conducting corporate valuation.
Textbook: Business Analysis and Valuation Using Financial Statements (Palepu, Healy, and Bernard, 2004; provided by Hwa-tai Books Corp.)
Class Notes: all power point files will be available before classes; students are responsible to download the notes before classes.
Evaluation: Mid-term Exam. 50%, Final report: 50%.
